Lovely winter afternoon - bright sun, and not very cold. I was out too long, though, and it got dark for the last forty minutes or so. I was aiming to go a bit further than this (looping round at Coddenham to pass through Crowfield, Gosbeck and Ashbocking), but had to turn around at Coddenham owing to a flooded road - thereafter I went quite quickly along the B1078 to Wickham Market, then Ufford, Melton and Woodbridge before hitting the Rushmere road home. Some nice sprinty bits through town at the end. Although the weather was pretty good, the roads remain filthy and I got home with a fair spattering of mud.
First miles of 2014 accomplished - more planned on Saturday.
